If you or your organization would like the HPFD Fire Prevention Team to arrange a presentation for you, phone 780-536-6028.

Public Education, Fire Prevention and Life Safety programs are an integral part of the High Prairie Fire Department's commitment to all community members of High Prairie and the M.D. of Big Lakes.

Throughout each year, members of the High Prairie Fire Department give tours to ECS classes, youth groups and children's summer reading and recreation program.

By providing these opportunities for our community's youth, the HPFD is able to relay important messages in Fire Prevention and Life Safety skills in an environment that enables them to learn "hands-on".  They are able to see real equipment that is used by real Firefighters in real emergency incidents.

HPFD At Your School

Deputy Fire Chief R.A. John McDermott speaks to grade 4 classes on the potential dangers of tobacco cigarettes could have, from a Firefighter's point of view. The presentation was in conjunction with AADAC's Kristine Maurice.
